Yoga has been a constant for me. It has seen me through car accidents, surgeries, injuries, and pregnancies. It is helping me be patient with a body that is forever evolving. It helps me remember how amazing my body is on days I don’t feel that way. Through my years as a student and as a teacher, my greatest takeaway is this: Trying to force your body into a posture/pose does not make you better at yoga. Yoga, for me, is meeting your body, as it is today at this time, on your mat and allowing that body to practice the yoga that suits its needs.
