Tram is a retired college professor, having taught psychology for 42 years. He has practiced yoga since 2004 in a variety of styles, notably Viniyoga, Iyengar and Anusara. In 2011, he was certified by Yoga Alliance as an instructor in Classical Hatha Yoga. He is committed to a grounding of yoga practice in scientific and medical knowledge.
