Yoga TEACHER Training

Shanti Yoga Center 200-hour Yoga Study + Teacher Training

2027-2028

What You WILL LEARN

We could spend 100 lifetimes studying yoga and still not know it all! Shanti’s program is designed to capture the heart of yoga, and provide a solid understanding of the key philosophies and practices, as well as getting to know the vehicle we have for exploring yoga: our body, mind, heart, breath, and spirit; and how to confidently, skillfully share yoga with others.

The Shanti 200-hour yoga study and teacher training hits all the benchmarks and then some, with a robust and well-rounded curriculum taught by faculty with deep knowledge and a high degree of expertise in the field.

What if yoga teacher training was about more than learning how to teach yoga?

What if it was also about learning how to move through life with more steadiness, awareness, and ease?

Our Yoga Study & Teacher Training Program is an invitation to explore yoga beyond the poses—to discover the practices, philosophy, and tools that can support you both on the mat and in the middle of real life.

You’ll learn tried-and-true practices that can help you better understand your body, work with stress, regulate and reset your nervous system, quiet the mind, and create more space to respond rather than simply react.

Because life is going to keep happening. There will be busy seasons, hard conversations, uncertainty, change, joy, grief, and everything in between.

Yoga gives us tools for meeting all of it.

How You’ll Learn

Just as important as what you’ll learn is how.  Shanti values a dynamic and engaging learning process that includes large group and small group discussion, exploring the concepts in your own body, personal reflection, personal practice, observation, and sharing what you learn.

This Training is for You

This training is for you if any of these statements describe you:

  • You’re looking for new (and time-tested) tools and practices to support your physical health, mental wellbeing, and overall resilience.

  • You sense there is something “more” to yoga than the poses.

  • You want to better understand stress and the nervous system and learn practical ways to cultivate greater regulation, steadiness, and ease.

  • You aspire to teach yoga confidently, competently, and authentically.

  • You’re already a yoga teacher and want an in-depth, in-person experience to deepen your understanding and strengthen your teaching skills.

  • You’re curious, open-minded, and willing to look at yoga from both a traditional and modern perspective.

  • You are a human. :-)
