A place to come as you are.

Shanti was built on a simple belief: that yoga is for everyone — not just the flexible, the experienced, or the already- converted. It’s a space for real people navigating real lives, who need somewhere to land, breathe, and find themselves again.

OUr purpose

More than a studio. A place to weather life.

Shanti was founded with a vision that went beyond classes and schedules. We wanted a space rooted in education — where students could truly understand how yoga complements not just their physical health, but their mental and emotional wellbeing too.

We wanted teachers to have a place to gather, share, and keep learning — not just a room to rent. And we wanted community: real, sustained connection between people who show up for each other through every season of life. The hard ones, the joyful ones, and the quiet in-between ones.

The mat is a common ground. Everyone is welcome on it.

YogaA practice that meets your body where it is today — building strength, flexibility, and nervous system resilience that carries into everything you do.

Community The people who stay after class, cheer you on, show up. This studio has always been as much about connection as it is about the practice itself.

MeditationLearning to be still. To be present. To trust yourself. Skills that are quietly radical in a world that rewards busyness above all else.

PeaceNot the absence of difficulty — but the capacity to move through it with steadiness. That’s what this practice gives you over time.

Yoga didn’t fine me at a retreat. It found me falling apart.

Jessie Sandoval is the founder of Shanti Yoga Center, where she has created a space rooted in connection, education, and steady, sustainable practice. Her approach to yoga is shaped by lived experience both on and off the mat.

Jessie Sandoval found yoga the way a lot of people do — not from a place of wellness, but from a place of need. In college, she was a recreational athlete who loved to push herself: running, hiking, lifting, always chasing the next goal. But over time, she was burning the candle at both ends and losing the thread. Sleep wouldn’t come. Headaches were constant. Her body was signaling what her mind hadn’t caught up to yet: something had to give.

She needed something that could help her slow down; not just physically, but internally. Something that could teach her to be still, to be present, to be with herself instead of always moving ahead of herself.

“More than anything, yoga has taught me to trust myself, to return to who I am, and to carry that into how I live and connect with others.”

What she found in yoga was more than she expected. As a lifelong athlete — someone who still runs, bikes, hikes, climbs, and lifts — it became the practice that made everything else sustainable. Through years of training for 5Ks and half marathons, it helped her stay injury-free and go further than she thought possible. As a partner and mother, it grounded her and brought more patience and presence into her daily life. During career transitions and seasons of uncertainty, it became a steady place she could return to. Through stress, anxiety, and the everyday fullness of life the mat was always there.

After years of teaching in studios, community centers, and corporate settings across the region, Jessie felt a pull toward something more intentional. Not just teaching yoga, but creating a space that reflected what she believed the practice could be. A place rooted in education, not performance. A home for students at every stage, and for teachers who wanted to grow alongside them. A community designed to move through the seasons of life together.

In 2019, she opened the doors to Shanti Yoga Center in St. Cloud. Six years later, the community it has become reflects that original vision — steady, welcoming, and deeply rooted in connection.
