get to know SARA
teacher
Sara has been practicing yoga for 18ish years. As a proud graduate of Shanti’s very first 200hr Yoga Teacher Study in 2025, she’s thrilled to now be working with students in the studio.
Her practice/teaching is trauma informed and incorporates numerous styles including Iyengar, Sivananda, Yin, Yoga Philosophy, Buddhism, and mobility work, among others. Outside of the studio she works as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Somatic Sex and Relationship Coach which influence her practice as well.
Her classroom is one of inclusivity, accessibility, and fun. She aims to facilitate a supported space for students to develop and increase trust in their bodies through curiosity and exploration by using movement, breathwork, and meditation. You can look forward to a longer than average savasana in her classes.
Outside of the studio she’ll most likely be in the garden, on a hike with her dog Maddie, or forcing her cats Maple and Nutmeg to snuggle with her.
